Adaptive Body Armor

From Absit Omen Lexicon

Tested to withstand the powerful bite of [ Delilah's crocodile] and several other of the Foley's pets, this armor was developed for healers on the first floor of Mungo's who may deal with werewolves during the full moon, or various other dangerous creatures.

About

The suit has a turtle-neck, an assortment of magical gloves it can be equipped with, pants, and boots. It can easily be worn beneath a healer's green robes, and their scrubs, if they prefer to wear the suit that way.

Without the gloves the suit is just thick and heavy, but useful for non-magical creature work.

Crafting

Custom-made for St. Mungo's staff by Torquil Foley.

How to Use

The armor is useless on it's own, only being a magical conductor for whatever pair of magical clothes that is complimenting it.

A witch or wizard first puts on the suit and then chooses a pair of gloves to wear with it. Different gloves have been created with different effects: one pair may make the suit near-indusctructible, but make pressure from bites painful; another pair may make the suit make its wearer flexible and rubber-like so they are unaffected by bites, but would sacrifice control; and another pair may be a medium between the two aforementioned types of gloves. Currently, these are the only types of gloves Torquil has created for the suits.

Once it is combined with the gloves it takes on the magical property of the gloves and channels it throughout the whole outfit. The gloves should lock in place, but results may varied when the suit is standing up to actual werewolves.
