Plot:Werewolf Attacks
Since April of 2008, the count of werewolf sightings and attacks in Britain has notably increased. There are multiple reports occuring each full moon as the seasons change. All this despite Marcus Annwyl's and Covadonga Gertrudis's push for a friendlier, more compassionate Werewolf Registry, and a hard initiative to ensure the rights of all those affected by the werewolf curse. Things have gotten so bad, in fact, that a specialist has been brought in: werewolf himself, Vane Hendric.
A few of these attacks have been orchestrated by Cináed Tawse, a member of the WBA. He set a werewolf loose on Knox Greyfriar and others in October, and in November he captured Frank Pratt and injected him with a lycanthropy serum, which puts a frightening new twist on how this disease is transmitted.

Upon review of the abandoned building where the incident occurred, there is little belief that a child was anywhere near the building that evening, leaving many to speculate that the attack was set up. This comes on the heels of a highly contested decision made by the newly appointed Headmistress of Hogwarts to ban a student from Hogwarts due to the affliction of Lycanthrophy.Aldo Merryweather
She looked up just as her attacker's face made contact with the woman's boot and he spun away. How had she been so easily fooled? Certainly he had the aura of danger about him in the club, but he had not really appeared to be a threat. Just another man looking for some fun.Claudia Vespucciano

Werewolf psychologist Maya Irene-Strangely informs us that, "some witches and wizards afflicted with the lycanthrophy curse are constantly prone to feral, violent urges. Most coping with this curse reject the condition and these urges remain unwanted. But in individuals who have for whatever reason found cause to enjoy their curse succumb frequently to violent, werewolf-like behavior even when not under the affects of a full moon."Niobe Thursby
"Solaris Maximus!" A pillar of light shone from Knox's wand like the head lamp of a giant steam train. For a moment, everything was white and blinding. Blinking through the light, Knox saw it crashing through the thinnest of the saplings.
"Werewolf!" he bellowed, stumbling backwards. He was able to cast Reducto before the beast was upon him.

"Bloody 'ell, been another wolf attack? Well, can't be too surprised, you know. With all those new Hug-A-Wolf laws, it's going to happen more and more. I mean, you can't go dancing with sirens and expect never to crash on the jagged rocks, right? Werewolves are vicious - it's in their nature to hunt and kill. These safe houses are a joke - brainwashing the Wizarding World into thinking we can coexist with these beasts is criminal. There are going to be more bites, I can promise you that."Niobe Thursby
Ronan continued, locking eyes with Covadonga. "A shadow hangs over the moon. It could come again." Bane shook his head fiercely, "She need not know this! You interfere too much."
And that’s when everything else pushed to the back of his head. He was starving! His mouth watered, his fingers gripped on to the wall, and he didn’t even notice (at first) the way his body started to morph. If anything, he counted it up to the pain he had been feeling across his stomach, chest, and nose. The broken nose was what brought him back to where he was, his sudden starvation held off as he let out a loud and unearthly groan, his face changing with the hairs that sprouted up. The snout was deformed, caved in slightly on the side.Frank Pratt

The Direwolves, as the public has dubbed them, appeared in all ways like werewolves. Some witnesses even contend that they seemed to possess human thought - a trait never found in normal werewolves. "It was like he was looking right at him!" said one witness who saw the Direwolf attack at Calaveras in Diagon Alley.
