Columbine is a rather confused, self-hated girl with a bad attitude. She's rowdy, careless, and obnoxious, and tends to get on people's nerves. She isn't very happy, but she can be rather friendly. Cole is promiscuous and has a tendency to be unfaithful in relationships, and even tries to steal other girls' boyfriends. Cole is a drug addict, she sticks to heroin like it's an old friend. She waits at Madam Puddifoot's, getting enough money to feed herself. She a fiery redhead with womanly curves with the personality and IQ of a child. She simply just wants to live her life.
Physical Description
There's one thing that people are never sure of with Cole: Is she pretty, or she is she plain? While she has her moments of being rather stunning, she usually looks raunchy and a total mess. Her hair is hardly ever brushed, and her clothes are hardly ever washed. She reeks of alcohol and cheap perfume, which she drenches herself in because she's too lazy to clean her clothes. Yes, she takes showers. But she actually enjoys those.
Cole is a fiery redhead, but she sometimes colors it darker, or sometimes even blonde. It's hard to tell what the girl wants to do with herself. Her hair falls down to the small of her back, it's wavy and fluffy and curls right above her forehead. It's nearly impossible to maintain, so she doesn't try to do anything with it. It's usually down and flowing, but she may occasionally push it up into a pony tail.
Her eyes are a cloudy blue, they're not bright enough to be dubbed "gorgeous". Cole's left eye has Coloboma, or a "keyhole pupil", meaning that a small section of her pupil expanded out to the edge of her iris. A trait that did inevitably get her teased when she was young, but she has grown fond of it. Even if it does creep people out.
Standing at 5'6", Cole doesn't feel like she's too tall or too short. She's just right. When it comes to her figure, Cole is rather curvy. She slim, mainly due to her drug habits, but she she has meat on her bones. She wouldn't be able to deal with being "magazine skinny", since she doesn't have the bony-monster look to her. She doesn't have the characteristic model gap between her legs, either. Her thighs touch, yes. But she loves her body. Cole has a rather large chest, which pleases her because she can get away with things because of it, but she has a flat buttocks. Or, as some may call it, a "pancake ass". This doesn't please her.
The girl also has three tattoos, "life doesn't end, it changes for the best" is written on her right upper forearm; "silence can't speak enough for me" on her inner right thigh; and a small red Columbine flower on her left wrist that blooms during the day and closes at night. She wants more tattoos, but only gets them if she feels they are worth keeping all her life.
Personality Description
Columbine is rather raunchy and hard to be around. She likes attention, and she likes to be loud and obnoxious. This is mainly due to her daddy issues, but she would never admit that. Most people find her completely awful. But Cole doesn't exactly care, she just wants to be happy and party.
She picks friends that are willing to be as rowdy as her, and she sticks with them. She can be quite the loyal friend. However, it's very easy to get on her nerves. She doesn't have much patience, and she can't stand people who are smarter than her. Which is a lot of people. Cole takes out her anger on her loved ones (or unloved ones) and inanimate objects, thus being kicked out of bars and clubs when something doesn't go right in her eyes. She has been known to hit and spit at people, generally men. Men easily tick Cole off.
However she may be impatient with the guys, Cole is rather promiscuous towards them. Mainly due to the fact that her father rejected her as a child, she is constantly trying to get love from men. And the easiest way she does that is by "making herself open". Usually, she ends up having a snogging session outside of a pub, but she has been known to attempt to steal boyfriends. Keyword, attempt. This is also where her "indecent exposure" plays in. It's easy for her to just whip her shirt up and think men will like her for it.
She's very hard on herself, having very low self-confidence. She's fine with the way she looks, but when it comes to interacting with people she tries to be the best she can. If she can't please someone, she usually ends up screaming and throwing things at them. She contradicts herself a lot, and calls herself "stupid". Because, as mentioned many times before, Cole isn't very bright. Insults may go right over her head, and she can not hold any intelligent conversation unless it's about nailpolish.
Another complication with her lack of love from her parents is that she is very big on drugs. Usually the muggle drug heroin, but she has been know to have a jar of Billywig (of course, this is an insect, but Cole loves the floating effect it gives her when it stings). Heroin has made her more testy and off than she used to be, and her left arm's veins have been hardened by the drug. She isn't sure if drugs make her happy anymore, but she is too addicted to quit.
Being a Gryffindor, Cole is very courageous. Perhaps it's her stupidity that makes her so brave, but this bravery has helped her be who she is now. She doesn't feel afraid when she steals or hits someone. And she doesn't feel afraid when she's being caught in an act, or throwing herself around. Columbine can stick up for her friends without missing a beat. She was raised to know that she shouldn't be scared to do what she wants.
History
Cole's childhood was rather hard. She grew up in a criminalized neighborhood, and was quickly accustomed to being around thieves and robbers. Her parents taught her how to pickpocket at a young age, since they were poor and lacked jobs. Columbine was happy with her way of living, despite how much she hates thinking about it when she's older.
Cole had a brother, Wyatt, who was three years older than her. He stood up for her when she was teased for her eye or her young, pudgy cheeks. Columbine got along with her sibling quite well, mainly due to the fact that they helped each other survive the bad streets around town. She was enrolled in muggle school, but she didn't do to well. Cole had to focus on her life, not on an education. Wyatt and Cole would attend school in dirty clothes and faces, but their teachers never said much. Hull, England was known for its poverty, after all, and it was common for the students to be a little off in appearance.
The girl learned quickly that not paying attention to, nor caring for, class wouldn't make her be reprimanded. She lived her life, helping her family live and get money from people in the streets. She never did any of the big crimes, like her father did, and she only got caught stealing a man's wallet once. Cole got away with it for being so young, but the stealing never really stopped. It was a mere miracle that she learned to read, but she only did so to find the best items to yank and hide away with.
Her eleventh year was a rather eventful one. Her brother, now a teenager, got caught stealing from a local convenience store and assaulted a police officer when he was spoken to. He had a court case that Cole could not attend. It just so happened on that very day that a letter came to Columbine from, surprisingly, an owl. She was alone at home, wondering why on Earth would someone send little Cole a parchment. The girl had opened the letter, and read it carefully. She believed it to be a joke, and showed it to her parents not too long after they got back from the court hearing (Wyatt would be getting a probation officer and they had to pay a hefty fine). Her father laughed it off, also, and believed it to be a scam. He tossed it away and Cole thought nothing of it.
Bianca Taylor, actually, knew that the letter wasn't a scam. Bianca came from the Mattioni family, a strong, Italian, wizard family. Bianca was a squib, though she never told her husband. He was a bit overly emotional and wouldn't understand. Plus, why would she tell him? She couldn't do magic. She was using her family a bit to help the family crime business, but otherwise she was just living her life.
However, her father grew concerned when another letter was dropped off the next day. Edward Taylor began to ask the neighbors if they go a letter, also. And eventually started asking relatives. "This bullocks, isn't it? Why would they call my Columbine a witch?" Finally, Bianca's sister spoke up. Maribelle explained how the letter wasn't truly a scam, and how it was very much real. And it was then that the Taylors began to distrust Cole, thinking something was wrong with her. Edward helped birth a freak.
The Mattionis helped Columbine get her stuff for school. She bought herself a nice dumbo rat as a pet and named it "Ginger" and got a wand for herself. She even bought a very nice broom so she could eventually try out for Quidditch when she was older. While Edward kicked Cole out of the house, and Wyatt shunned his sister, Bianca set Cole up a place to live with Aunt Maribelle. Her Aunt was rather strict and proud, making Cole wish to be the complete opposite. The eleven year old was now in full I'm-an-individual-and-I-hate-all-of-you mode. Though she never really heard from her father and brother again, she kept her family name. She still felt like a Taylor... But she was more open and welcome to the Mattioni family.
At Hogwarts, Columbine was sorted into Gryffindor. While the redhead met plenty of people to be friends with, her old ways still stuck with her. She still snatched things out of people's pockets, and she still had a bit of trust problems with the people around her. While not everyone else was out to get her like how it was in muggle school, she remained in the same batshit insane mode through her first year of school.
Once her second year of school started, Cole was finally getting used to being at Hogwarts. While her stealing didn't die down, she began to actually open up. This was when attention-seeking Cole began to sprout up, looking for friends to love her. Her first "boyfriend" was when she was twelve, and she kept one around through the rest of school... that she stayed to attend.
In Cole's fifth year, Ginger passed away. She hadn't realized rats only live up to three-five years. This was when she became particularly lonely. Her boyfriend from the year before had graduated (the three year difference could matter less to the lonely Taylor girl, and Averie was rather indifferent about it). They hadn't yet broken up, but some unfaithfulness definitely happened behind Averie's back. They visited each other often, and Averie remained devoted, but Cole's views were rather warped and messy by now.
This was also the year Cole tried out for Quidditch. She ended up getting the Seeker position, and was rather talented at it. Quidditch was an emotional outlet for the young girl. She got to finally have a talent, and she was finally getting the attention she so longed for. She helped her team win almost every single match they had... Until they were against Slytherin... Where she caught the snitch without realizing that her team was already too behind to win with it. This failure only made Cole feel worse about herself.
It was Cole's sixth year that a lot of trouble started. Her Charms Professor caught her trying to snatch up a Hufflepuff's nailpolish, and it all fell downhill. Her Professors began to treat her like a delinquent, her patience grew thin. It was this year that she dropped out of school. Her Aunt accepted her juvenile decision, and offered to support her if she needed any help. Columbine felt thankful she had Maribelle to help her along her school years, but believed she had already been enough of a hassle on the poor woman. She would, however, remain connected to the Mattioni family.
Columbine moved into a loft in London with Averill Plaskett, who somehow was able to wait for Cole to leave school. Averie was a thin boy, humorous boy, with an unpredictable personality that made Cole enjoy him ten times more than any other relationship. They were in the same house together when they met, and they immediately hit it off. It was mainly Averie who introduced Cole into cigarettes and heroin, him being a muggleborn and living around many drug users when he was outside of school.
The girl and her prince threw parties and lived life to its fullest. Plenty of shenanigans happened in their dingy loft, all fond memories that Cole will remember for the rest of her life. She would have friends over while Averie was passed out, drunk, and they would trade secrets and gossip and be careless. It was how Cole wanted to live. It was basically a dream. A very, very easy, crappy dream.
After years of being a happy, drug-crazy couple, Averie accidentally heard word of Cole's unfaithfulness through an old friend from Hogwarts. Cole had just gotten used to being in one solid relationship, used to being around one person, so when Averie found out she completely lost it. She didn't find out until she came home one day after going to the grocery store and seeing that Averie was gone, and so was his stuff (and a bunch of Cole's expensive, stolen jewelry). She found a note explaining that Averie left because he couldn't believe after all those years, "he meant nothing". Columbine proceeded to break down and cry, and even punched a hole through one of her crummy walls.
It was then that Cole got a job at Puddifoot's to finally get her own money. Averie was the one who was supporting her with his odd jobs. Now that he was gone, she was on her own. But at least she got to keep the loft. She was twenty-three by now, and not used to being alone. She would simply fill that empty void by finding any random guy on the street and flirting with him.
Cole, in the meantime, is trying to make herself feel better with drugs and men. She generally goes for skinny brunettes that remind her of Averie, but lately she hasn't been specific. Her job as a waitress is rather easy and simple, even though the lace in the tea shop sometimes gets on Columbine's nerves.
Criminal Information
Pickpocket, minor thief.
- Allegiances / Loyalties / Political Faction
- Neutral.
- Have they committed any previous crimes?
- Yes.
- If yes, what were they and were they convicted?
When Cole was still in school, she only occasionally stole gold and jewelry from her fellow classmates. There was only one case in particular that she remembers... She could never really stop herself from admiring Cindy-Sue's new diamond necklace that she got for her birthday. So, Cole took it. While Cindy-Sue never found out it was Cole who stole it, Cole realized she could never wear it... Since Cindy-Sue was one of Cole's dormmates. However, nowadays she can be seen wearing it when she's out on special occasions.
It wasn't until the end of her school career that a Professor caught Cole trying to steal a rich Hufflepuff's pastel green Chanel nail polish. Cole got a big fat detention for that one. Her Professors already thought she was rowdy and loud, and she wasn't the most brilliant student. Knowing she was a thief only made them more suspicious of her.
Outside of school, there has been numerous occasions of Cole pickpocketing people in the streets. She has also stolen from old jewelry stores, usually their displays. However, most of Cole's swiping has gone unnoticed, since she usually picks little things.
However, there has been a few times that Cole has been convicted for a crime. Mostly, in the Wizarding world, she has been caught "misusing magic" by hexing storeowners when they caught her mid-steal. Usually, she simply made them go delusional while she got away. However, after multiple times getting caught, the Ministry grew far more serious, so Cole hasn't exactly been as wand-crazy as she used to.
In the muggle world, Cole has been taken in by police for "indecent exposure" and "assault". While she had to spend a mere night in a jail cell for flashing her naked torso, she had to pay a fine for punching a waitress.
- What crimes might you commit in the future?
- Pickpocketing, thievery, possibly more assault, and possibly arson since she has a small love for fire.
Are you currently under pursuit by the Ministry of Magic?: No. She isn't smart enough to commit any major crime.
