Nestled on a side street off the High Road in Hogsmeade sits Puddifoot's. The shop was opened as Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop and was run by Pandora Puddifoot's aunt. Few know of Madam Puddifoot's full name, as any who came in contact with her simply called her Madam Puddifoot. The shop had always been cramped, stock full of small round tables with frilly decorations covering every surface. It was a place where tacky, gaudy, and over-expressive romance could flourish. The clientele consisted mainly of regulars, and a tear-streaked face was just as common as one blinded by the happiness of forever love.

Renovated quite recently, [[Pandora Puddifoot]] lives above the shop with her two infant children. The decor is modern, yet sparse. Toys litter the entire flat, and the only ''truly'' clean room of the entire place is the kitchen.

About Puddifoot's

Location

Nestled on a side street off the High Road in Hogsmeade sits Puddifoot's. At the end of the road sits Urquart House, home of retired war hero Minerva McGonagall.

Appeareance

Pastel pink painted walls and a cobbled path leading to the front door makes Puddifoot's hard to miss. A two-storey building, the bottom expands larger than the top. A broom shed sits beside the porch for riders to leave their vehicles - also pink.

Around the back is a prolific herb garden, picketed in a small white fence. An entrance to the basement can be accessed only by staff, family, or werewolves on the full moon. Recently, a Blue Silver car, owned by Paetyn Harper can be found parked in back as well.

History

The shop was opened as Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop and was run by Pandora Puddifoot's aunt.

In October of 2009, Madam Puddifoot passed on, leaving the shop in the capable hands of her niece, Pandora. The younger Puddifoot breathed new life into the business by modernizing almost every aspect of the shop. The gaudy decorations and cramped styles were replaced by an open room, designed for comfort rather than closeness. Couches and small tables fill the space, with a small, raised platform used for events as a stage. The place still has a rather distinctive 'romantic' feel but does not push for an overly loving atmosphere.

Staff

Though Dora says she's always looking for extra help, she manages most of the day-to-day operations along with her in-house diviner and tea mistress, Rhiannon Grimlish. She's recently hired on a youthful wizard named Paetyn to help with menial wand-work and light security.

Emily Louise Carter and Jack Howell have worked for Puddifoot's in the past.

Hours of Operation

Puddifoot's opens early and closes late every day of the week. Closes early on nights of the Full Moon

Events

On Valentine's Day 2010 Puddifoot's hosted a Speed Dating event.

In May 2011 Puddifoot's hosted a Blood Drive and then a tasteful party following.

The Residence

Upstairs, where the Puddifoot family resides, is a small three-bedroom flat. It's cozy, comfortable and plush. The place would fit right at home in the Hufflepuff Common Room, if not for the colour choices of pink, red, and white.

The Basement

The downstairs of Puddifoot’s has been transformed from a dusty old storeroom into a full service safe house for werewolves. The process began shortly after Dora was bitten and served as her personal safe zone for many years. Once Dora refurbished the place, she made sure to install nine completely functional holding cells, with an area for first aid, a lounging area, and a private meeting room. Somehow, it still functions as the store’s cellar and the Puddifoot Family reliquary as well.

Though it is a ministry approved safe house, Dora has recently become more cautious with those she allows inside. After an attack on Iona Ballentyne and the vandalism of the Werewolf Alliance headquarters, security around the premises has increased near the full moon.

A 'rabbit hole', from Lapin once existed in the basement, allowing patrons easy access to the club from Hogsmeade. It was always guarded, and only those who had permission to the club were allowed to enter. This ended before the birth of Dora's twins, long before the club was shut down.
