Three (3) fire salamanders named Tabasco, Habañero, and Cayenne. Two (2) dormice named Lulu and Carroll. According to Grin, they're less like pets as they're too shy for handling and more like co-residents living in their own flat that happens to be a cracked teapot in her kitchen. They pay rent to her in the form of eating any insects that happen aboard. She also supplies berries, seeds, pollen, and nuts. Biscuit is not allowed out of the bedroom when the dormice are roaming. |

Grin is, in many ways, a walking paradox. She's an introverted extrovert in equal need of roots and wings. She enjoys quiet and (her own) routine as much as she thrives on variety and spontaneity. She's peaceful and relaxed, yet chaotic, posessing a million dreams and a restless mind. Both a child at heart, and a tired old soul. The dichotomy of her personality drives her to seek constantly for balance.
[The Jester's Privilege]
A 55ft(16.76m) long narrowboat serves as Grin's current home. Her exterior is painted a robin's egg blue; along the sides (and within), Grin has also painted forget-me-nots. Her interior color scheme plays with blues of cerulean, cedar, pops of burgundy and copper, and the full gamut of teals. When purchased, the interior had a beam (width) of 6'10"ft(2.08m) and a ceiling height of 6'2"ft(1.8m). Being 5'10" herself, Grin was unnerved to realize that she had a touch of claustrophobia.
With the help of her father, Extension Charms were used to raise the interior's ceiling by 4ft(1.21m) and expanded the beam to 12ft(3.65m). Her claustrophobia is further mitigated by the multiple windows on each side which let in plenty of light and fresh air. Her father also installed Extensions in her wardrobe, tea pantry, and bathroom (more to follow on these details).

Basic Muggle Layout:
Immediately down the stairs is Grin's saloon (boat talk for living room), followed by a small stove (inhabited by a trio of salamanders named Tabasco, Habañero, and Cayenne). Next comes the kitchen (inhabited by a pair of dormice named Lulu and Carroll) followed by a pantry, then the bathroom, closet, and bedroom (inhabited by a cat named Biscuit). All furniture in the saloon and kitchen are hung up and swing, partly to save space, but mostly for fun. The swinging loveseat is especially plush. Grin's bed, though also very plush, does not swing - hence why she opts for the hammock, which is actually inside her closet.
Magical Additions:
The Tea Party
The door that used to reveal only storage now opens onto a vibrantly colored tea parlour. Rows and rows of shelves hold an array of teapots, cups, books, and blends in a kaleidoscope of organized cluttercore chaos. In spite of the disorderly appearance, this is the one room in which Grin is actual quite fastidious and knows precisely where everything is. The air of the room is rich with spices, various teas and tisanes, dried flowers, and freshly baked sweets. Chairs (not suspended from the ceiling in this room) are overstuffed and multicolored. Dimmed but multi-sourced lighting and a small log burner give the space a distinctly cozy feel.
On one small shelf near the sofa sits a leather-bound journal and a little (but still growing) collection of instruments which have at one time or another have caught her fancy. These include, but are not limited to: a panflute, an ocarina shaped like a nautilus shell, a kalimba, a small steel tongue drum, and a jaw harp. The panflute in particular has held a longer interest for her; the jaw harp, she's wholly given up on, as instead of producing the expected quirky twang, it only stings her in the side of the mouth.
The Bath
The Jester's original bathroom was a snug affair, with just enough space to evoke claustrophobia. Upon opening the door now, one walks in on a space approximately 20ft by 20ft(6.09m). The tilted floor has a thick round rug in front of a large sunken bath. Philodendron vines climb the walls around the bath and vanity mirror. Over-bath lighting gives the illusion of being outside while that on the vanity is softer and warmer with fire lamps.
The Wardrobe
Um... tired, I'll say more words here tomorrow.
