The Potion
The Draught of Melodious Convenant was first used in an attempt to communicate with mermaids, centaurs, and other magical creatures with their own language, which was much simpler than sitting through many misunderstandings and translation errors and was extremely useful in shortening the language gap. The potion, however, is not available publicly and is hard to find ever since Mermaids and Centaurs preferred to be classified as Beasts, in order to prevent the abuse of the potion in regards to discrimination against these creatures.
Ingredients
- Moonstone
- Hellebore Flower
- Lovage
- A tenth pitcher of Snaplark Bile
- Puff of Pufferfish
- Mermaid Song
- Flobberworm Mucus
- use as needed for increasing potency
Preparation
- Pour Snaplark bile into cauldron and bring to a rolling boil.
- Dry out the hellebore and lovage with a spell inflicting three days of drought and crush into a fine powder with the moonstone and pour into a small bowl.
- Ground the moonstone into a fine powder and add a third of it to the dry mixture of hellebore and lovage, and then pour into the cauldron.
- Thicken with flobberworm mucus for potency as needed.
- Properly charm to the pufferfish to protect from boiling and to breathe outside of water. Cause it to inhale and then exhale into the mixture. Remove the charm for the pufferfish and place it back into water.
- Let mixture cool and solidify, and then ferment in the song of a mermaid for three or more days until it is dry and in powdered form.
