Padfoot II

Padfoot II is a black puppy, assumed to be a Grim, which has befriended Ted Lupin after repeated meetings in the cemetery at Godric's Hollow. Previously thought to be bound to the graveyard as a protector, the Spring 2010 semester saw him following Teddy to Hogwarts for reasons yet unknown.

Physical Appearance and Magical Properties

Padfoot II resembles a black labrador retriever between the ages of 2-4 months, though Padfoot has maintained this appearance for at least the last nine years. The only noticeable physical difference between him and a normal dog is his blood-red eyes.

When observed up close, it becomes apparent that P-2's body temperature is even higher than a normal dog's, clocking in at around 45°C (114°F). Able to appear apparently from nowhere, he is often accompanied by the smell of burning leaves and has been known to lightly char the surrounding vegetation if he lingers in a location for too long.

The full extent of Padfoot II's magical properties is as yet unknown.

Recently at Absit Omen

After watching over Ted for most of his life, Padfoot II's home in the Godric Hollow cemetery was recently blown up by persons unkown.
