Felix often acts like an immature jerk, because that is what he’s become comfortable with. Trying to balance a teenage daughter with no emotional support of a loving wife or girlfriend or anything (because he prefers to shove them away), Felix finds that he prefers dragons to dealing with Gabby for very long. He’s looking for something to stimulate his life outside of family and work, but can’t commit to anything. He’s a conundrum of pitiful with a bad boy exterior.
