Witch Weekly Wireless
From Absit Omen Lexicon
From the 1930s to the 1980s, Witch Weekly ran a wireless station called Witch Weekly Wireless. It focused on witch-oriented programming, evolving with the times.
Programs from the past:
- Knit Picking hosted by Nettie Weaverwelle. An hour-long, stitch-by-stitch guide through a knitting project.
- Cambridgeshire Coven, political talk programme.
- Life Between, serial drama about a witch who marries a muggle.
- Speakeasy hosted by Dominique La Croix and sister Jacqueline La Croix. A call-in advice programme.
- The Sight, documentary series on Seeing and prophecies with hokey reenactments.
- Other programs covered fashion, music, house-keeping, and celebrity gossip.
Headquarters were on the Witch Weekly premesis.
Waverly Roh-Ballentyne discovered the archives in March 2012 [1] and began anonymously broadcasting in secret. As the summer of 2012, her content is mainly playing music she likes, re-airing programming from the archives, and her own personal commentary. Find more at the tag [2].
