The following is a list of those spells considered A.O. Canon. This is magic created by Absit Omen writers as a part of the role-play, or canon spells that have been expanded upon for use in the role play.

Spells

The following descriptions are used in defining spells:

Charms

Charms: Magic which gives objects additional qualities or properties without altering their fundamental nature.
Note: While most Healing Spells are technically charms, they are treated separately.

Counter-Curses and Defensive Spells

Counter-Curses and Defensive Spells: Spells which are primarily defensive in nature, either protecting the caster from attack or mending the effects of a curse on the spot.

Curses, Hexes, and Jinxes

Curses, Hexes, and Jinxes: Spells which are primarily offensive in nature (causing damage to others or objects). As a general rule, curses are worse than hexes, which are worse than jinxes.

Enchantments

Enchantments: Spells cast on objects that do not change their fundamental nature, but adds additional magical attributes. A sub-category of charms, the primary difference is that enchantments tend to last until the subject is disenchanted.

Healing Spells

Healing Spells: Spells which heal the damage from injuries or Dark magic.

Transfiguration

Transfiguration: Magic which changes the fundamental nature of objects (including Conjuring and Vanishing spells).

Canon Spells

Canon Spells, Canon Spells (G-O), and Canon Spells (P-Z)
