Zara Othman is the charming and friendly coven leader of Sunken Scoundrels in Manchester, UK. She lived a colourful life knocking about the country - first as a travelling potioneer, in her human years, and then as a vagabond vampire.

In 1946 she and some of the vampires she had been traveling with decided to set up their coven in the abandoned underground tunnels beneath Manchester. Their speakeasy business began not long after. Zara fixes a mean cocktail.

She is especially close with her right hand vampire, Josef Plath.
