Hollowred Family

The Hollowreds are a new money magical family who enjoy an ostentatious lifestyle in the North of England. They make themselves known in philanthropy circles and sit on the board of The National Museum of Wizarding History and Hector Harrison's Unfortunate Urchin Grant Foundation.

Mrs. Hollowred is American with strong ties within the United States magical government. The family gained prominece in the wealthy magical community in the 1970s after Mr. Hollowred bought up some land in Yorkshire.

There is a female Hollowred student who Knox Greyfriar doesn't consider a very good student. [1]

"Well I suspect their reputation for collecting is fairly hush-hush. There's some even in high society who frown upon that type of thing. There's some humans among them, so to speak." [...] "The public persona of the Hollowreds is one of philanthropy and stewardship of our history. There's less witches and wizards in this nation than you'd think, so it's safe to say anyone above a certain financial status at least knows them as acquaintances."

The family collects vampire memorabilia, much of it ill-gotten. For example, they acquired the Alhambra Lineage in 1984. As of 2012, they were known by some to display the real head of a vampire in a private collection in their home. [3]
