Short Bio: John Flickwick (b. 1989) is the eldest Flickwick and like his littlest sister was a “surprise” - which they have both decided is the polite way of saying “big accident”. It is this and their similarly reckless personalities that bound he and the youngest child so closely together prior to their mother's death. Being the oldest and the only boy had it’s perks - he was basically a walking sign for his father’s virility as he was the first boy born to any of the brothers. Then came along Ruby, and Emily was adopted. For the most part he was happy to be a big brother - but he was always more withdrawn with the middle girls.
Sorted into Slytherin he lacked the innate drive that seemed to define many of his housemates. He was however decidedly cunning; a smooth talker from the time he learned to speak he is good at getting what he wants with the least amount of effort possible. He is on the fast track to becoming a legitimate Wockstar on his own but for now still plays with Mandrake Siren. Admittedly, he can be a bit of a jackass (Sophie says this all the time), but as she also says he doesn’t lie. The last year has not been easy on the Flickwicks as a whole, and since Ramona's death John has taken to drinking more frequently which has created a severe strain between he and Sophie.
