Medgar Storm is brother to Merik Storm, father of Wolfgang Storm and Aloisia Gundersen. He is grandfather to Johann Storm and father in law to Camille Storm.
At Durmstrang
Medgar had a fortunate upbringing, following his older brother Merik Storm through school. He enjoyed Durmstrang, and was a high achiever studying Tangibles and Spellworks together and left to become a healer in contrast to his brother who studied further and eventually returned to teach.
As a Healer
Medgar sought healing as a way to further his standing in the wizarding community. He had an interest in it, but he monopolised on the opportunities to gain respect and seniority. He quickly moved away from conventional healing to specialise in more surgical methods of magic, and reached the upper grades of the hospital as soon as he could, reducing his time spent actually healing, and more to overseeing research and policy.
1940s, As a Father
Medgar became a father at 31 in 1946. As is common in the Storm family, Medgar kept order as father. Wolfgang Storm recalled he knew exactly where hurt most but bruised least whether it was delivered by hex or hand. His wife, Erika Storm did not approve of visibly beaten children but was not against using her own wand and tactics to keep Wolfgang in line with his younger sister Aloisia Gundersen.
1970s, As a Grandfather
Medgar was 61 when he became a grandfather for the first time in 1976. During Johann Storm's childhood, Camille Storm occasionally sought his advice on Johann's lack of sleep. Medgar assured her he would grow out of it, and that because it was her first (and eventually her only child) she was just overreacting. Camille always perceived that Medgar was disappointed with Johann, considering he is the continuation of the Storm male line from Medgar. He entirely, and pointlessly blames Camille for a lack of other grandchildren with the Storm name.
1983
Camille Storm sought his casual advice when Johann Storm suffered a bout of influenza which was prolonged. He was somewhat disgusted to be asked and advised she consult a local healer rather than bothering him.
1993
In 1993 Erika and Medgar's house was plagued by a magical pest. They had to temporarily move out while it was treated and came to stay with Wolfgang Storm and Camille Storm in Frankfurt while Elixa Mordent was staying to complete an internship at Chrysopoeia. Elixa moved into Johann Storm's room to sleep on the floor as a result. Medgar quizzed Wolfgang and Camille as to Elixa's suitability as a wife for Johann, thinking they were more than friends.
2009
Medgar attended the funeral of his brother Merik Storm and was amongst the eager family members waiting to hear Wolfgang Storm read the will.
2010
In October, Medgar and Erika attended their son, Wolfgang Storm's funeral in Hanover, where he was laid to rest in family plots. They did not speak to any of the family who had come over from Britain, including Ignan Storm, Camille Storm, Johann Storm or Gabrielle Murray. They were both disgusted he had become a werewolf and have extended their blame and distrust to Johann Storm. They resent the fact Camille Storm inherited what little wealth was left.
