Futurists
Futurists are a very small subset of wizards and witches who believe that the future of magical civilisation depends on its integration with muggle concepts - especially aesthetically and on a technological level.
While not an official organisation, futurists consider themselves a social movement. They are not especially popular and do not find themselves featured in traditional publications such as The Daily Prophet. Futurists at present are usually in their early 40s or older. They consist of wizarding professionals who have taken to opening their businesses on muggle premises outside of traditional wizarding areas - with the aim of also adopting muggle designs.
These businesses and establishments are not integrated with muggle society. Some Futurists argue for the abolishment for the Statute of Secrecy, while others believe it is beneficial enough to simply appropriate muggle ideas for use in wizarding society.
Known Futurists include Alistair Ramakrishnan of the law firm Ramakrishnan & Rowan. It is also suspected that the Ministry's Department of Mysteries may have ties to the Futurists. The Coal Mine in Canary Wharfed is rented out by several Futurists.
