Éadaoin O'Doherty

Éadaoin ó Doherty was the ancestor of the modern day O'Doherty family that plucked the hairs from the Leprechaun that formed the core of the legendary family Hornbeam wand. Uniquely, although the family name was passed through firstborn sons over the generations, Éadaoin kept the family name by having a distant cousin take hers when they married.

Ever since Casey O'Doherty castoff his role as inheritor, the present clan has had a minor schism. Brona O'Doherty is being supported by her parents to return to the 'ancestral ways' of Éadaoin as the new scion of the family. They are further researching this ancestor as Brona sits her N.E.W.T. exams, eager to have her chance with the wand in her grandfather's possession.
