The Black Cat Flu is a magical illness affecting magic-folk. It's based on a canon Harry Potter illness.
Causes
Crossing the path of a black cat and failing to make proper recompense. It doesn't happen all the time - prevailing lore is that some black cats take offense ad that initiates the curse. In very serious cases, the illness can hit people close to the sufferer as well.
Symptoms
Onset can be delayed or immediate, usually beginning after sundown.
- Sizzlng fever and hot flashes
- Dizziness and fatigue
- Growth of coarse black fur starting at the chest and elbows and spreading outward. It itches terribly.
Prognosis
Without treatment the fever could be fatal and the fur will spread.
