Dignified, kind and emotionally strong, Cecile is a soft-spoken Beauxbaton 7th year and unlikely champion for the Tetrawizard Tournament. Cécile has been underestimated most of her life, either because of her gentile nature, childlike face or sickly constitution. But she is a woman of great surprises, harboring both intelligence and perseverance that is not seen in many of her peers. Combined with her sister, Elodie Fontaine's confident strength and physical prowess, and the Fontaine sisters are a force to be reckoned with. They need that force as well since their conniving mother is desperately trying to keep the girls from leaving her once they are of age. For Elodie, it is ruining her budding ballet career. For Cecile, it is forcing her into a loveless marriage with a Russian pure-blood, Lyov Molchenoff. Cecile is determined to find a way to break her mothers hold on their fates and to be able to love who she wants to love (namely a fellow champion, Corey Gaubert who shares neither her wealth or blood status).

Having done her stint as a champion, Cecile is now quietly plotting how to find her father and escape her mothers clutches and an unwanted arranged marriage. It is likely she will return to France after the tournament and put her plan into action there.
