Dragon's Balm
Dragon's Balm is a magical potion in the form of a spreadable paste or thick lotion. Its main use is a topical treatment for aches and pains in muscles, bones, joints, etc.
Ingredients
- Dragon Oil - Not actually an oil, but a thick fluid found in a glands from fire-breathing dragons.
- And some other stuff.
Preparation
Lots of stinky cooking, curing, and stirring.
Appearance
A glittering, slightly orange, light-colored oily paste. It has an astonishingly powerful spicy smell. Just a whiff will make the eyes water and clear the sinuses.
Effects and Duration
It should be handled with care, as even a small amount has a profound affect on anything it touches. When applied to the skin, it magically heats and permeates to the bone. Too much can leave magical burns, but Dragon Balms should be diluted enough that this is rare. Likely fatal if ingested, and can damage eyes and ears beyond healing.
Regulation and Skill Level
Advanced to brew because Dragon Oil is dangerous. Dragon Oil is regulated by the Ministry of Magic due to its rarity and danger in procuring, but Dragon's Balm itself is not regulated.
