Summary:	Martin calls upon the advice of law student Gregory King, who suggests meeting at The Black Boar, a pub run by the Anderson family. Martin is caught in a conflict of interest representing a patent infringement suit against Phaëthon Artifice, which will put him and estranged son Casey O'Doherty at odds. Greg is incredulous that Martin would take it as far to oppose Casey in court, although agrees to the favor to meet Casey when paid. As Martin exists the Boar, Hexy sees him from the street before she enters. Layers of deception continue in the O'Doherty circle, as Hexy asks her roommate Sophie, Greg's girlfriend, for a drink keeping her turmoil masked. Unaware that Greg's been asked to meet with her male identity. Sophie notes that things have been going well with Greg thus far.
