Ghoul
Ghouls are intelligent, malicious spirits who take the form of Undead Beings. They feast on human flesh, and may be found at graveyards or cemeteries that are not warded to protect against them.
As most burial grounds in the United Kingdom are protected, Ghoul sightings are markedly rare and unexpected.
Ghoul discussion in Plot Development
Appearance
A ghoul is relatively humanoid in shape, resembling the corpse it initially inhabits. Over time a ghoul's appearance will deteriorate - losing hair, eye colour, fingernails. Only the regular consumption of human flesh allows it to maintain solidity.
Its movements and noises are bestial, although ghouls can be exceedingly stealthy when required.
Abilities
Ghouls are manipulators of flesh, so they can do things with their inhabited bodies that humans could not survive, like cramming into tight squeezes. This also allows them to stash corpses in small spaces like sewers, chimneys and ductwork.
Their flesh manipulation also applies to others' bodies as well. With a touch, they may be able to melt bones or paralyze muscles.
Mitigation
Wix have been exorcising ghouls into the goats for hundreds of years. Goats are able to contain a ghoul with little to no harm to the goat. The ghoul would eventually starve.
