Not much is known about Gregory "Gorey" Pratchett, except that he was appointed the position of CAWW's Weapon Czar in 2013. Prior to this he had been a cog in the administrative wheels of Eldritch & Profane - and prior to that, who is to say?
Gorey tends to shrug off questions about his past, though he has glancingly referred to an adoptive family and unlikable aunts. He is a scruffy wizard with a childish sense of humour and very little interest in what other people make of him.
Regardless of whether you do or don't get along with him, it is undeniable that Gorey has a clever mind and a penchant for cruelty. He considers himself a genius but he is far from easily flattered.
Many know Gregory Pratchett to be a dangerous man whose path you ought not cross.
