Ilvermorny (Pirate AU)

Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is school for magical students, located on Mount Greylock in the west of the Massachusetts Bay Colony.
By 1692, Ilvermorny is still a relatively young school, having been established in 1627. The school's two founders, Isolt Sayre, an Irish pureblood witch, and James Steward, Isolte's husband and an English-born Muggle, are still in place as Headmistress and Headmaster.
Due to its relatively liberal nature -- exemplified by the fact that its founder is a Muggle -- Ilvermorny is considered a lesser option than Hogwarts by many pureblood families. However, it has grown to provide a solid education for many magical youth throughout New England.
