La Cour des Moires (The Court of the Fates) is the highest court in the French judicial system. This court is similar to the muggle judicial department The Court of Cassation (Cour de cassation). It is responsible for ensuring that lower courts apply the law correctly, but it does not re-examine the facts of a case.
