Slandermouth
Slandermouth is a coastal wizarding village located in Northwest England. It is well known for it's sandy beaches and frequent street markets held in and around the town square. Many Slandermouthers live in residential buildings such as Hippogriff Heights, but others do have cottages and homes with a great view of the beach as well. It's common for homes to up on stilts to avoid the wet weather.
The town square has a giant jarvey statue with a dead gnome in it's mouth. While Slandermouth is quite overrun by jarveys, their presence has kept the gnomes away. Many of the residents have grown desensitized to the barrage of insults they hear from these overgrown ferrets, others respond with frustration and threaten to leave, though they never do. Some of the jarveys have taken to narrating the townsfolk as they go about their day, with plenty of insults thrown in.
The leader of the jarveys, Jarvey Joe, is ancient and arthritic, though his slander is the nastiest of them all. Many look at him with a mixture of admiration and distress.

- Johann Storm hides out in a Slandermouth bed and breakfast where he makes a call through the wireless in his room to Balfour Spectre alter ego on The Haunting Hour on September 29, 2010.[1]
- Rick Donovan uses jarveys from Slandermouth for a fifth year lesson on September 2, 2010.[2]
- Eirene Antonopoulos and Frank Sellaphix were unexpectedly dumped on the beach by the confused Floo Network because they had Magical Measles in January 2012. They ran into the skulking Norman Shufflebottom and were helped by Torrence Early.
