Tattler Turnip

A Tattler Turnip is a magical turnip that is grown for the purpose of alerting its master of various presences. It is mostly used by Goblins, particularly in the Hag Market, to pick out intruding humans.
Method
Tattler Turnips are often grown in potted soil, alongside a body part from the type of presence to which it must be sensitive. For example, many are grown with a human finger or rat tail.
Once a Turnip has reached maturity it must be appropriately carved. This is crucial: without eyes, it can't see, without a nose it can't smell, without a mouth it can't tell.
Every now and again, a Tattler Turnip must be rejuvenated in potted soil with the chosen body or else it will lose its effectiveness.
