Twigs

From Absit Omen Lexicon

Twigs is a drinking game from England. Each player must balance their wand upright in the palm of their hand, and take turns performing some other task with their other hand. If you drop your wand, you drink. The last person still balancing their wand wins.

Variations

Balancing - In some versions the wand is balanced in the palm, but others use fingers, or the back of the hand.

Tasks - These vary widely. Some circles have a set sequence, while in others it's about one-upping each other. Examples include laying down on the floor and standing back up, singing a song, eating spicy candy, or catching a ball.

Penalties - Kids play a version of the game that sometimes called fiddlesticks. The penalty for dropping a wand is a slap to the wrist with two fingers or a punch in the shoulder.
