June 23, 2009
Herschel Reid and Persepolis visit Hogwarts School as they discuss the important issues surrounding the TetraWizard Tournament. This meeting clinches their decision to invite the professors to attend and make the tournament into more of a show of braun, and paint Hogwarts as a hub of magical education and international goodwill.
- Accommodations with Herschel Reid and Persepolis Zephyr
June 26, 2009
Persepolis Zephyr must pay a call on Gabrielle Murray-Harker, Head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation, in order to expedite the paperwork required for all the visiting students and faculty.
Measures like...
- All students are marked with The Trace while visiting
- All wands are pre-registered
- Names and home contact info are collected, and parental permission acquired for all students.
- An International Exchange and the Wheels it Runs On with Persepolis Zephyr and Gabrielle Murray-Harker
August 1, 2009
The three delegations arrive in grand display...
- Salem arrives in the Dragodirigible, a massive zeppelin with wings.
- Beauxbatons in the carriage drawn by Abraxons.
- And Durmstrang came by a magical, masted sailing ship.
Until term begins, the visitors will stay in their travelling homes and have the run of Hogsmeade Village. Global Gramophones translated.
August 2, 2009
All four schools and a Wizarding Britain welcoming committee gather in Hogsmeade for a fine ceremony. Headteachers from each school give speeches.

The First Task of the tournament begins on the Quidditch Pitch, where a tangled labyrinth of thorns has been growing, and at the center of the lair? A gargantuan Acromantual, charged with protecting a box. All through the labyrinth are pitfalls and perils. Each Champion's goal is to retrieve their box, one at a time.
September 27, 2009
A Hogwarts Howler article by Figaro Sellaphix describes last night's scores, and comments on some of the stranger performances. (This was not the official announcement - the scores would have been awarded sometime after the completion of the First Task by Tournament officials, whoever they are.)

What's In The Box
The first champions (with the exception of poor Teodosio Medici), recovered their prize - small sealed chests with no identifiable markings. The boxes seemed impossible to open by spell or by force. And then, on October 1, an image of a thestral appeared there-on, giving the Champions their first real clue as to how to get inside...

Each box would have revealed a riddle which described the date, time, location and the nature of the Second Task.
The Second Task
October 25, 2009
The school is assembled after dinner, along with special guests and the press. Tournament officials gather and the rules of the Tournament are reviewed.
Two champions were chosen from each school:
Hogwarts | Beauxbatons | Durmstrang | Salem |
A Pox on Salem
In early November, smack in the middle of the Second Task, word gets out that Salem might not be eligible. See the branching plot: A Pox on Salem
November 4, 2009
Before the task, Durmstrang gets together to sort out a strategy as they decode the clues from the three thestral boxes.
- Preparations Make Us Who We Are with Ylva Maras, Atash Hendurabi, Heinrich Faust and Fyetka Strelnikov
November 21, 2009
A small crowd consisting of the champions, delegation staff, press and tournament officials arrived at a rather plain looking hallway on the second floor in the late evening - it would be the staging ground for the Second Task! And then into the the bathroom off all places they went! After some ceremony, all descend into the Chamber of Secrets! ( Professor Bai Li Yang of Salem speaks in Parseltongue to open the Chamber.)
In a sad twist of fate, Alexandra Carstairs is unable to compete at the last minute and the Goblet chooses Raine Almasy instead.
Then, each team is asked to choose between four tunnels, in order of how they placed in the First Task.
- Durmstrang chooses KNOWLEDGE
- Salem chooses WEALTH
- Hogwarts chooses GLORY
- Beauxbatons is left with BEAUTY
All the while, their progress is observed by the small delegations via four magic mirrors that show, not tell. And delivering news of the Task to all of the Wizarding World is Basil Rathbone (NPC) from the Wizarding Wireless Network.
The Third Task
January 3, 2010
As the entire school gathers for a start of winter term feast, the Goblet of Fire again names its nominees.
Three champions were chosen from each school:

Immediately following, the champions are called to have their wands inspected, this time by both Garrick Ollivander and new Professor of Herbology, wandmaster Declan MacDonough.
January 24, 2010
