This, along with a shattered leg she endured in the attack, has left her with PTSD and some paid time off to get her head together. She is also learning to deal with her budding romance with Eamonn, who she is falling deeper in love with but still uncertain about. She also learnt of Kale's fling with Pandora Puddifoot, who is now pregnant with his child.  
Kia is really struggling with who she is and what she believes in right now. Even though she joined the WCU to hunt down the werewolf that hurt her brother, she never felt that she hated them, but the recent attacks left her with severe PTSD and a newfound fear of them. However, she struggles with this fear and hatred because she wants to be there for her brother and his new child, whose mother is a werewolf. For this reason, she feels lost and confused right now.
 
To make matters worse, her budding relationship with Eamonn has seemed to stall. His unwillingness to share certain aspects of his life with her (like what he does for a living) and his secretiveness has seriously put a damper on their relationship. It has left Kia wondering if he just doesn't trust her or if she should really trust him, and whether being together is good for either of them.

Thanks to being both aloof and gawky as a teen, Kia has never had a boyfriend before. Now that she has gotten fit, she deals with a lot of unwanted male attention from guys she finds repulsive. She has a lot of commitment and abandonment issues thanks to events in her life and she has high standards that most men won't bother to try and fill. With that being said, enter [[Eamonn Mullen]]. Kia met Eamonn purely by accident. Both of them were in Signature, her for a rare clubbing experience and he to, of all things, study. Kia was cornered by a man she had no interest in and in an attempt to escape, she used a rather sitcom-y move of kissing Eamonn to hide her face from her stalker. Once they pulled apart, after a kiss that lasted a bit longer then necessary, the two of them found themselves instantly attracted. She finds Eamonn both gentle and mysterious, and undeniably sexy. As he is her first foray into romance, she has come to trust him slowly. Despite this, the two have recently engaged in their first sexual experience and Kia is finding herself growing more and more enamored with him afterwards, a dilemma for a lone wolf like her.
