Herschel Reid and Persepolis visit Hogwarts School as they discuss the important issues surrounding the TetraWizard Tournament. This meeting clinches their decision to invite the professors to attend and make the tournament into more of a show of braun, and paint Hogwarts as a hub of magical education and international goodwill.

Persepolis Zephyr must pay a call on Gabrielle Murray-Harker, Head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation, in order to expedite the paperwork required for all the visiting students and faculty.

The first champions (with the exception of poor Teodosio Medici, recovered their prize - small sealed chests with no identifiable markings. And then, on October 1, an image of a thestral appeared, giving the Champions their first real clue as to how to get inside...

A small crowd consisting of the champions, delegation staff, press and tournament officials arrived at a rather plain looking hallway on the second floor - it would be the staging ground for the Second Task! After some ceremony, all descend into the Chamber of Secrets! ( Professor Bai Li Yang of Salem speaks in Parseltongue to open the Chamber.)
In a sad twist of fate, Alexandra Carstairs is unable to compete and the Goblet chooses Raine Almasy instead.
Then, each team is asked to choose between four tunnels, in order of how they placed in the First Task.
