Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures
The Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures is the second largest Department in the Ministry of Magic. It is divided into three divisions named after the three categorizations of magical creatures: Being, Beast and Spirit. It also houses the liaison offices for Goblins and Centaurs.

The department is located on the fourth level of the Ministry of Magic, and includes the following divisions:
Beast Division
The Beast Division is one of three divisions under the control of the department. It deals with all duties and problems concerning those magical creatures classified as a "Beast" by the Ministry.
Centaur Liaison Office
The Centaur Liaison Office is the section of the department dealing with relations between wizards and centaurs. Since its inception, no centaur had used the Office until a momentous moment 2011. In the Ministry, the phrase "being sent to the Centaur Office" had until then, been an in-joke meaning that the employee in question is about to be sacked.
Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures
The Committee is responsible for the execution of any magical creatures deemed to be a threat to the wizarding world.
Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau
The Bureau is responsible for all dragon-related services provided by the Ministry of Magic.
Ghoul Task Force
The task force is called upon to investigate circumstances in which ghouls move in to residential areas and become a problem for the inhabitants.
Being Division
The Being Division is one of three divisions under the control of the this department. It deals with all duties and problems concerning those magical creatures classified as a "Being" by the Ministry. This Division originally contained offices pertaining to werewolves but this became its own Division of sorts (see Werewolf Wing below).
Goblin Liaison Office
The Goblin Liaison Office is the section of the department which takes care of the magic economy and to improve relations between goblins and wizards.
Office for House-Elf Relocation
Responsible for the allocation and reassignment of house-elves.
Diversity Office
Deals with the training of all Ministry Departments, to see that minorities are treated with equality and respect. Runs training courses and inductions.
Liaisons
The Being Division may appoint experts or representatives from species to help them better serve those communities. For example a vampire may be appointed.
Spirit Division
The Spirit Division is one of three divisions under the control of the this department. It deals with all duties and problems concerning those magical creatures classified as a "Spirit" by the Ministry. The reason why the Ministry created this division is because it doesn't fit if spirits categorized as "beings", when they are in state of "dead".
Werewolf Wing
The werewolf wing was established in 2008 by then Head of Department, Covadonga Gertrudis. It took charge of all werewolf matters from Being Division.
Werewolf Capture Unit
The Unit is tasked with the capture of any werewolves deemed to be a threat, although, to judged by the largely unimpeded activities of Fenrir Greyback, they may not be the best funded or highest priority segment of the Department. Full page: Werewolf Capture Unit

The Remus Lupin Library and Resource Centre
A well-stocked specialist library.
Mentor Programme
Werewolves may be assigned other werewolves as mentors from time to time, either because they are newly transformed, or because they have had a brush with the law.
Other Offices
Pest Advisory Board
The Pest Advisory Board provides assistance with serious Bundimun infestations of wizarding homes, deals with serious infestations of Chizpurfles, takes responsibility for the Ghoul Task Force, and maintains a pack of a dozen albino bloodhounds, to deal with Nogtails.
Office of Misinformation
The Office of Misinformation is a section of the department employed during the worst magical-Muggle collisions, when an incident is so obviously magical in nature that Muggle authorities have a hard time explaining it. The Office of Misinformation shall immediately contact the Prime Minister for Muggle to explain about the magical accident with any Muggle-worthy reasons and excuses.
