During her final year at Hogwarts, Maeve Whitman was known as the Queen Bee of what has been dubbed the "Slytherin Monarchy", who essentially claim to be the school's most popular girls. She is in line to become the head of the Whitman family some day and currently is employed as a Curatorial Aide at the National Museum of Wizarding History.
Towards the beginning of 2010, Maeve reunited with her ex boyfriend, Devlin Matthews, who was about to serve jailtime for his part in assisting Theodora Kingstreet. The two began dating again, despite his impending incarceration and her families disproval. Contrary to her families hopes, which was that she would drop him when he went to Azkaban, she not only stayed by his side but also revealed she was pregnant with his children. When Devlin was released in September of 2010, he was met by Maeve and their twin children, and promptly begged her to marry him. The two live with Devlin's friend Alexander Snark along with their kids and Devlin's little sister Lucy Matthews, and Maeve still works for the museum.
