For Students
All students are expected to know and follow Hogwarts' school rules. They may be broken, but students must be prepared to face consequences if caught.
- Students should be in uniform during class hours.
- Students must attend classes and be on time.
- Students must respect each other and obey staff.
- Students may not leave the grounds without permission.
- Students may not leave their houses/common rooms after 10pm.
- No magic is to be used in the halls. Practice in appropriate areas is permitted.
- The Forbidden Forest is forbidden to unsupervised students.
- Each student is permitted a single pet: cat, rat, owl, or toad.
Hogwarts Dress Code
During the school year, students are also expected to follow the school dress code.
- Between the hours of breakfast and dinner on week days, students should be in uniform.
- Trousers/skirts should be black or grey.
- Skirts and other non-uniform bottoms may be no shorter than 3 inches above the knee.
- Collared white shirts should be worn with uniforms. Tops may not expose midriff or lower back.
- House ties are required to be worn.
- Shoes should be black/gray, close-toed, heels no higher than two inches.
- Vests, cloaks, gloves, winter coats, stockings/socks, and jackets should be white/black/gray. Embellishments of house colors or crests are allowed.
- No hats are allowed to be worn with uniforms with the exception of a pointed wizard's or witch's hat.
- All clothing should be clean and devoid of obvious stains, rips, tears.
- No part of clothing/accessories may contain any rude, profane, or offensive text, photos, or meaning.
