Inside the Department of Mysteries there is the Time Travel Investigation and Regulation Bureau. Usually work here is quiet, the processing of time travel permits. But as April 2009 drew to a close something big showed up on the radar: the Cowled Figure, a white robed individual looking to repeat current events for unknown purposes. There's a rogue Time Turner out there and it needs to be found.

There are two boys in the Class of 2013. Alvis Norling is in Ravenclaw; he's interested in the coexistence of magic and science, yet tends to avoid eye contact because of ever present empathy he has towards others' emotions. Casey O'Doherty is in Slytherin; a highly ambitious spellcaster, yet ashamed of his actual sex and seeking mental defenses to protect his secrets.

Student Legilimens vs Occlumens. Chalk and Cheese. Forming a partnership as fraught with tension over the course of slowly wrought mutual understanding in their 3rd, 4th & 5th years.

Nate and Kurby originally met through Sellaphix Apothecary. Nate worked there and Kurby was friends with the Sellaphix Family. Bad blood came between them when Nate was partially responsible for Rafe Sellaphix being sent to Azkaban, but it didn't come to a head until Kurby found Nate's name in a ledger at Grimshaw Tailoring and Alterations.

The Department of Mysteries runs a dangerous Death Chamber experiment exploring the possibility that there is a place between Life and Death where Time does not exist.

In doing so, they stumble on a Time Travel plot that causes certain people in the wizarding world to repeat the same day over and over again... until they get it right.

The Unspeakables and other Loopers must find a way to prevent a Calamity plotted by the Futurists movement.

A grim murder scene ignites a search for the truth.

In late summer 2009, two Cursebreakers are sent to retrieve a mysterious goblin-made Harvest Mask from a Wizengamot member. A few days later, the Wizengamot member is found horrifically murdered, and the mask has vanished without a trace. Now, as the body count continues to grow, the race is on to find both the mask and the murderers.

Are you alive? Dead? Doesn't matter, Lorelei will make you miserable.

Lorelei has been killing people and turning their souls into Pentrals since the 1980s. In 1989, she even killed her brother's fiancé, Iona McBoid, and used her as a disguise to infiltrate the manor of squib heiress, Lori Lilly. She then killed Lori, and used her identity for the next few decades. Her brother Leander used a Pentral as well, and trapped a herd of unicorns for their life-giving blood.

A few years ago, the Hunt siblings adopted a squib, Calix, and lured squib Abigail Reid to the house, plotting to create new identities. But Abby unleashed all the pentrals and escaped with Iona McBoid's pentral, forcing Lorelei to flee the manor.

Lorelei retreated to her hideout at the farmhouse of one of her earlier victims - Lucy Wold. At the farm, she kidnapped and killed a Healer to save her brother from the dementor attack he'd suffered.

Since her brother's recovery, she's made allies with Cinaid Tawse and Aviad Cohen. Of course, she has not forgotten about the Reids or the McBoids. She considers the gifts she sent on Valentine's Day to be the first of many.

The intoxicating magical potion Muse appeared on London's streets in 2012 to ensorcel those who'd partake. But nothing so sweet can be unspoiled - by the end of year, its sinister sources were revealed to be stolen memories from comatose patients and muggles.

Mastermind Elliot Fudge has disappeared into the criminal underworld to keep making and selling Muse. But how long will she last?

The dragon epidemic of 2010 spanned a length of approximately six to ten months in the United Kingdom. It was recognised as a serious threat to the dragon population of the United Kingdom and was a source of conflict for the Ministry of Magic, who sought to contain the situation through practical as well as trade means. In late August 2010, a liaison between Dragonologists in the UK and Australia resulted in an effective cure for the widespread disease.

In spite of this, the epidemic is still at large as dragons continue to be quarantined and trade bans are yet to be lifted. It is estimated that the dragon population will be significantly clear of the disease by the new year.

An European smuggling ring - or perhaps much bigger than one ring - has been exporting cursed artefacts from a rumoured operation hub in England to China since 2000. As things escalate in the People's Republic, China has sent a representative to ask for England's cooperation in shutting down this problem once and for all.

Thus with international cooperation opening up between England and China, perhaps greater events wait in store because undoubtedly this operation operates within its own smoke and mirrors.

In the summer of 2008, Aileen Reid headed an excavation in Egypt. It was rumored that an ancient Egyptian cult, called the Cult of the Phoenix, had buried their secrets in some newly discovered tombs. Though the excavation was cut short because a few of the crew members fell ill and died of mysterious causes, Aileen managed to secure some of the items she'd found within the tombs. Among them, a cursed Egyptian dagger. She brought these artifacts back with her to England and hid them away at home and in her office at Hogwarts.

Unfortunately for Aileen, word got around that she was hiding some very powerful (and very expensive) items. On September 20th, a thief by the name of Demelza Boskonovitch broke into Aileen's home and stole the cursed dagger. Aileen was furious, but she couldn't go to the authorities for help, because she technically wasn't supposed to have the artifacts either. So, she sought out private investigator Jonas Trevelyan, who after several months of futile searching, finally got a hint from Cináed Tawse. Jonas procured the dagger from Demelza and returned it to Aileen on November 12.

Little do they know that the dagger has infected many victims with an ancient curse! The curse affects wizarding folk in two ways: making a person's magic volatile and unpredictable, or diminishing a person's magical ability (or potential). The curse also makes squibs and muggles violently ill. Those affected have flocked to St. Mungo's, seeking answers and a cure.

As the curse spreads, those involved begin to slowly put the pieces together and look for a solution. But the situation will surely grow darker before it begins to ebb. With rumors of froggy plagues at Hogwarts and mummies lurching about Muggle museums, it is slowly becoming clear that something wicked has been awakened...

There's been a culture shift and old wizarding families with house elves are 'freeing' them with clothes and employing them with a living wage if they choose to stay. However not all families accept this change or are truly freeing their elves from unpaid slavery.

Being Division grapple with the possibility of legislating while the old established purebloods seek every loophole.

During Voldemort's first war, a young Knox Greyfriar was coerced into helping the Death Eaters for a time as a healer. During this time, Knox ended up with 41 wands which were stolen by Death Eaters from those they harmed or killed.

Knox has held onto these wands since then, a shameful mark on his past he has not confronted.

In the Summer of 2008, potionsmaker Dazmond Wiedman was hired as a live-in alchemist for an old Wizard calling himself Kronos Malvivicus. Sealed inside an enchanted cave on Staffa Island (in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland), Dazmond soon realized that the eccentric and elegant Kronos had no intention of letting her go -- ever. Dazmond uses her potions abilities to escape the confines of the cave, returning to London after three and a half months with nine-hundred galleons, sixty sickles, twenty-three knuts, an unmarked potions vial, little memory of the exchange, and no wand. As events unravel in the aftermath, it becomes increasingly clear that something is amiss in the Wizarding underworld.

Fauna Blake's very active involvement in SAWS and her change in behaviour has led some students to wonder why she's so invested in the cause. Sasha Schlagenweit and Baxter Fox spark the rumor that Fauna Blake was bitten during the werewolf attack in Hogsmeade in October. Once Ackerly Fox catches wind of it, the rumor soon spirals out of control.

Figaro thoughtlessly lets it slip to the entire school that Zel Trumble is a werewolf. His punishment is to be magically silenced for a week.

Figaro's mouth has finally done him in, and his Head of House, Leopold Sandusky has no choice but to show the lad what life is like when one can only listen. Figaro goes the week of October 23, 2009 to October 28 without any voice what-so-ever. During that hateful week, he learns more than he would have expected.

On October 14, 2008, Knox Greyfriar was bitten by an unidentified werewolf. The werewolf had been coerced to the location by Cináed Tawse for purposes to support the Wizarding Blood Alliance. Knox's strong pro-werewolf politics combined with his new post as a Wizengamot Elder made him a target.

Fauna Blake, Sasha Schlagenweit, Vladislaus Dragulia, and Beatrix Dark were also victims of the assault, but none sustained major injuries.

Now, Knox must navigate his new life as a member of the marginalized werewolf community, while the Aurors attempt to put the piece together.

Erik Collins, Dahlia Collins, Tynan MacFusty, and Mairead ó Fearghail make an innocent trip to the Restricted Section in the library. The resulting book they steal is a potions book about the magic of music wherein they discover the Draught of Melodious Covenant, and what started as an innocent prank turns into a school-wide musical epidemic.

The Department of Mysteries has discovered, via the Space Chamber, an extraterrestrial object headed in earth's direction from outside of our solar system. Rough calculations will predict a meteorite 'landing' somewhere in Scotland, in December 2011. The object inside the meteorite is a pure metallic sphere that causes fears to physically manifest within a certain radius.

Note: This plot is an homage to Michael Crichton's novel, Sphere.

Not actually measles, but a mysterious magical condition brought to Britain aboard the object that came from outer space. It causes flu-like symptoms and a wix to lose all magical abilities. It's quite contagious, its origins are unknown, and there is no cure. Luckily it seems to clear up on its own, so far.

Rumors are spreading that somehow squibs are involved.

Ó Móráin Farms has been a successful business for generations. The farm breeds magical creatures for the purposes of harvesting them for potions ingredients, wand cores, and other various uses for animal parts. Unfortunately for those who do business with Ó Móráin Farms, a mystery illness seems to have infected the creatures at the farm- rendering the majority of product sold and placed in stores between the months of November and January tainted. To combat the possible side effects of using tainted ingredients, a mass recall of ingredients has occurred. All possibly infected animal parts are to be returned to Ó Móráin Farms for a full refund.

Unknown to Liadán Ó Móráin, the reason for the illness plaguing Ó Móráin Farms is a voodoo ritual gone wrong. She has been tampering with voodoo rituals to boost the financial success of the farm, as well as the fertility of the animals. When presenting an unsatisfactory offering to the forces of voodoo, a curse was placed on the farm. The curse has caused only a certain number of creatures to survive of each species. This is to reflect the actual worth of her offering versus the expected outcome.

The Department of Mysteries is using the Unspeakable exchange program to confirm an alarming tip from former Unspeakable Jacqueline Devereux.

Over the course of 2016, they discover that the US magical government CAWW is pushing Eldritch & Profane to work on suspicious research projects - ultimately the development a weapon of mass destruction targeting muggle populations.

Cináed Tawse was recently out of Azkaban when he started sleeping with Daily Prophet Reporter Niobe Thursby. The affair lasted only a month and a half. Niobe felt very dangerous indeed. Both parties got their thrills. That is until Cináed got violent and Niobe started trying to get him thrown back in prison. Now they hate each other with acid lethality.

It's 1692 and things are heating up in the Caribbean. Piracy is winding down, and ships are vying for control as the Statute of Secrecy goes into effect. Meanwhile, the Salem Witch Trials have just started up in Massachusetts Bay Colony and magical kin has to hide from Obliviators and witch hunters alike.

Captain Barnabas Cuffe has just been hired to steal a magical treasure in a far-off locale. But little do he and his crew know that the search for the treasure might be more than they bargained for...
